Amazon has updated The Running Grave page with a +50 page preview using its “Look inside” feature. Since this feature is not available on all countries and/or devices, we at The Rowling Library have compiled the preview into a PDF file that you can download from here.

This thread will serve as a place to discuss this preview, including any spoilers.

I just finished the +50 pages preview and I really enjoyed it!

Biggest shock: Robin is dating Ryan Murphy!!!! (for 8 months already!!!!!)

Favourite quote: "So here stood Cormoran Strike, [...], thinking about not thinking about Robin Ellacott"

Also, I really liked how the case was introduced. The fact that, this time, they have to save someone adds a lot to the case. I think it's a complete contrast to Troubled Blood (which I also enjoyed).

OMG!!! Thank you very much for this!!!

I genuinely liked that he seems to be on very good terms with Prudence. Yay for Cormoran!!!

Also, I noticed that the Dylan Thomas quote is not there. Does anyone know if it was removed?

We cannot know what happened to the Dylan Thomas' epigraph, but the preview showed like this in the Amazon website, maybe indicating that just at that place (after the dedication and before the prologue) there is a missing page, maybe containing those epigraphs? (There was another one from the I Chin together with the Thomas' one)

That could indeed be the case, thank you!!

Do you believe this stemmed from an error on Amazon's part or rather a leak, without proper approval from the publisher?

Mmm, it's hard to say, but I would lean towards suggesting that this wasn't an error, but rather a deliberate promotional action. I'm not sure how Amazon could have accessed this without consent from the publisher. This isn't the ebook version (which could have been uploaded well in advance), but rather appears to be a scan from the printed edition. In my humble opinion, it's quite likely that this was provided by the publisher.
