Royal Mint has released its second coin for ther new Harry Potter collection. This time is the one featuring the Hogwarts Express designed by Jim Kay for the illustrated Harry Potter editions. You can buy your coin here (different editions available). Remember they are going to publish two more in the future, one featuring Albus Dumbledore and the other one featuring the Hogwarts castle.

What do you think of these coins? I own the first one in the two basic formats/editions, the silver one and the coloured one, and they are really nice, so I already ordered the Hogwarts Express one. I hope it arrives soon!

I love the packaging with Jim Kay's art much more than the actual coins to be honest! I think they did a great job using his art.

But I decided not to buy them as I feel there will be many more and I can't affort starting a new collection at the moment haha

Yeah, the slipcase with his artwork is really good, and it also includes short snippets from the book itself which makes it really good.

I wish I'd known it would be a whole series before I bought the first one and paid for transatlantic shipping. *facepalm*

I do really like the first coin, it's very cool!  I dunno if the Hogwarts Express painting quite lends itself to coinage, it appears really busy on the online images.

Have you received it already? I'd be curious to see actual pictures of the coins and packaging Smile
